???????????????????????????????????????????? I have a question for everyone out there. Why does the sidebar sometimes drop down to the bottom of the posts? I thought that it was because a post was extending out into the sidebar's space, so it forced the sidebar to go down to the bottom, but now I'm not sure. I deleted the post that seemed to be the offending one (the sidebar was where it was supposed to be until that post was added), and I was hoping that the sidebar would move back up to it's rightful spot. But it didn't. I want to get everything back like it should be, but I just don't know how. I also tried going into the template and reducing the margins or the width of the sidebar, so it would fit in what space I had, but couldn't do that. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know!

Hi, I have just accessed your page and it seems fine to me. Sidebar is where it should be.
I found that the reason it 'drops' is exactly what you said. The post is too wide and encroaches on the sidebar space. When you delete the post, everything goes back to normal. But you may not see it as normal. Try exiting your page completely, and then sign in again. I never write to the end of the space they give you to write in,
because of this reason, I have been caught out too many times. I shouldn't try and play around with the margins on the template. (Unless you are a web page designer and you are fluent in html) I have read horror stories about people losing their blog entirely. Having the page still on line, but not being able to get into it. Good Luck
Oh yes, I am using Firefox to access the web. If you don't have it, give it a whirl, its excellent. You go to mozilla.com and download it. It can run at the same time as IE. cozmic

Your blog looks just fine to me. I've actually never encountered a formatting problem when coming to your site. I think cozmic gave you great advice. Sometimes there are glitches and you just need to refresh the page and repost your blog. Also, depending on your resolution of your screen etc, your blog can look very different.

For example, I have a widescreen laptop, so my blog (which has the same template as you), fits in the middle of my screen, but if I view it on a regular screen, my blog looks very much bigger and tighter on the screen.

Then maybe its just my computer, if it looks fine to ya'll. Because right now the entire sidebar (profile, past posts, counter, backward Bush and Quotes)is on there, but it doesn't start until the bottom of the posts. So what I see when I am on this page is just the posts. You have to scroll down to the bottom to see the sidebar. I know next to nothing about html, but I was able to size the quote of the day, backward Bush and counter to fit the sidebar (and to be the size I thought looked best) by simply changing the html code for them. I also can change the colors of those. But I can't find anything to help me change the margins or the size of the sidebar. Usually if I delete the post that seems to be the one that caused it to go to the bottom, that fixes it. But this time it didn't. Also, I don't have any way to not finish a line of type (Cozmic). If I try to tab or enter, the cursor goes away...Maybe I should change to the new beta stuff and see if that makes it better. Thank you for the advice!

Hi, its me again, when you go to your dashboard to post again, you get a couple of tags, they say compose or html, try going to the html tag to write your post and put a break tag on the end of where you want the writing to go. See what happens, I think you will find that you get a line break. As for your side bar, the only other thing that I can suggest is that you visit one of bloggers sites maybe the help one, there might be someone there who can advise you. I think the blogger sites are now run by google, this is due to the new beta blogs. Its all a great mystery to me, like gogo says tag you're it!!! cozmic

Has anyone tried the new Beta? I'm afraid to switch until I know how its going for other people. And I have a question...what is a break tag? I am willing to try things, as long as I can change them back if they don't work. That's the deal with the Beta. You can't change back if you don't like it. At least with template changes, you can go back to the original, and no harm is done. I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. Thank you for all of the information.

Sorry, I meant a line break which is one of those sideways triangle things without the line to one side you then have to put the letters br and then another one of the sideways triangle things without the line only this one facing the other way. I had to do it this long winded way because the comment box would not let me show you! I have the Beta blog, it was a little strange to start with but after the initial start, it was ok. We have had a few glitches to do with posting photos. But touch a very large piece of wood, the glitches seem to have stopped. Go for it and change. its cozmic!!
